Location: Hybrid in the Greater Detroit Area (relocation is available). This role does not allow remote work. Candidates must reside in the Detroit area or be willing to relocate to be considered.
Role Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or similar.
· 5+ years of relevant B2C product development /product marketing/category marketing experience with consumer medical devices, air purifiers, humidifiers, powered home products, home electronics, kitchen electronics sold at retail.
· Advanced product development background.
· Demonstrated ability to creatively identify trends and growth opportunities in products as well as packaging, merchandising and other communications vehicles.
· Proven track record of developing cutting edge consumer products and features that have been successful in the retail marketplace.
· Demonstrated ability to transfer innovative features from unrelated areas to new products or categories.
· Desire and ability to work all facets of the product development and management process.
· Experience with retail buyers, including developing and giving presentations.
· Experienced in project management and able to lead cross functional teams.
· Advanced communication skills.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture with changing priorities.
· Ability to travel, including overseas as needed.
